As most of you know, Tammy Wynette CDS that are released contain all the same songs (maybe in a different track order)
as all the others...same, same, same.
Over the past year or so I have managed to put most of Tammy's albums on CD. I have done this by burning her albums in to the computer and transerring them both to my Ipod and transferring to CD.
While I know that I can not make money off of these cds, I do want to share them so that other Tammy Wynette fans can enjoy the music we all have waited for (and keep waiting for).
These are complete CDS. These are not professionally made. You may,at times, hear a "crack" or "pop" from time to time. I must say, I am very pleased with the way the CDS they turned out.
I am not out to make money. I just want to share with those who love the old Tammy albums as much as I do. I am also doing the same with the old Loretta and Kendall albums

A Tammy Wynette theme night
A Tammy Wynette theme night on Idol would be AWESOME!!!! Perhaps with Billy Sherrill or Richey giving the contestants the behind the scenes guidance and rehearsals that people such as Dolly or Andrew Lloyd Weber did this season.
I have to say I was apprehensive about the contestants tackling the Weber and Parton songs, but they really came through, and I think that with the proper guidance, they could do justice to our Tammy. After all, Billy guided Tammy's early career, and I'm sure he still has his talents :)

I agree, a lot of the Tammy songs that I love are not available on the CDS that have been released. Thank god they came up with a that we could put our albums on CD ourselves. Now I can listen to any I want in my car on the way to work.
Don't ya think American Idol should do a Tammy Wynette theme night????? Well, maybe not......the singers would probably tear the songs up.......not do them justice, huh?

Amen Jill!!! and Thank you Timothy. What really puzzles me is the fact that CBS(now Sony BMG) still kept Tammy under contract and released many many memorable albums on her LONG after the major hits--or for that matter even the minor hits--stopped coming, and those songs are just sitting in the vaults doing nothing . When you are as talented as Tammy was, is, and forever will be, the fans want to hear more than the same 12 or 15 songs on every compilation.
Whomever selected the songs for the 1990 "Best Loved Hits" CD had the right idea. I always chuckle at that CD though, It only had one Top five hit on it (Sometimes When We Touch, the Top Ten I Still Believe In Fairy Tales and the rest of the songs charted in the top 20 and top 25, and lower than that in the case of a few of the songs (Unwed Fathers only charted in the Top 60 if memory serves, and Alive And Well charted somewhere around the Mid 50s if memory serves.
Thats something to think about, Sony :)

Welcome to the board Tim you will find plenty of friends on here who all have one thing in common...we love Tammy, on the old board we seemed to become a sort of family, I hope it will be the same with the new site.
It's very kind of you to offer the cd's I have done the same thing as you.. put my albums onto cd, I've also made my own compilation ones too...if we can do it why can't Sony...they really can't expect her fans to keep buying the same material time after time....they owe it to Tammy to help keep her music going
