Im glad Sony got this web site up and running again. I had to use a different user name and email address before I ever got a password. I have ask repeately for a password to be sent to my AOL account and never nothing. To many Tammy fans may be experiencing the same problem. If anyone has a solution to use the original username and email address please let me know.

Hi
Just to say hello to all my old friends, I've missed talking to you all but it's great to have the web board back I'm loooking forward to being in touch with everyone again.
It is shame that we were unable to be on here on the 6th April to mark Tammy's passing but I'm sure she was in all our thoughts
I have had to re-register as I could not log in using my old username and password I hope that does not affect my VIP status (I'm quite proud of that)
Best wihes to everyone
Jill

She was known as the "First Lady of Country Music" and one of her best-known songs, "Stand by Your Man," was one of the biggest selling hit singles by a woman in the history of the country music genre. Many of Tammy Wynette's hits dealt with classic themes of loneliness, divorce and the difficulties of male-female relationships. Her songs reflected her often-troubled romantic life (she married five times). But her willingness to share her joys and sorrows in song and her passionate, tear-in-every- note delivery endeared her to millions. [1] During the late 1960s and early 1970s, she dominated the country charts, scoring 17 number one hits. Along with Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, she defined the role of female country vocalists in the 1970s.
